About Me

Hi, I'm Clockwork. People call me Clork.

If you wanna know the unimportant details I'm in my 20s, I'm engaged, and I need sleep.

As for the important details here are my most hated foods and extensive lists of my hobbies and interests which will surely give you a clue as to what I have been diagnosed with since the age of four.

Hated Foods

Eggplant. Any eggplant dish I am likely to dislike. The main issue for me is the texture of eggplant is offputting. Also, I was given baked slices of eggplant once and they were like pieces of foam in a bad way. If I had to give it a rating, I would hunt it down for sport.

Nuts. This is a pretty wide category tbh but it's true that I overall do not like nuts. On their own especially. Something about the feel of most when you bite into them is offputing. For some of them it's the flavour. There are a few exceptions to my ire in this category however. On their own there is only one type of nut I cherish and it's technically a seed. Pine nuts most of the time escape the texture issues I have with other nuts and I enjoy their buttery flavour. I like to on occasion grab a small handful and graze on them. Pesto is good. I will also give cashews a participation award for I can consume but 2 of them before I feel ill.

Peanuts are the worst of them, I would sooner eat lead. Peanut butter I feel the same about. If you give me peanut butter I am throwing a fit and burning down your house. Oddly though if it's the peanut sauce for satay chicken I'm fine with that. Also I'll just deal with it if there are peanuts sprinkled on pad thai. I like nutella, though largely the flavour of nutella is chocolate. Still wouldn't bite into a hazelnut. Special mention to pecan pie. I love pecan pie. Don't like the nuts. I can and will remove them. But the pie goo? Really good. Macadamias are bad. Like. I'm sorry, if you've ever bitten into a white chocolate and macadamia cookie and tasted a macadamia... I wish it was a white chocolate chip. My rating for nuts as a category is that I would choke it out in the ring.

Tomatoes. I'll be honest I'm not as averse to these as I used to be but I can only handle them raw in small quantities or mixed with other ingredients. When they're cooked or they are in tomato based products I can stomach them a lot better. My rating is I would smother them with a pillow.

Onion. Worry not for this is another food aversion of the past. I have since grown up and have seen the light. I used to hate onions so so much though. Raw or cooked I would avoid them like the plague. If they weren't visible in the dish and weren't a large contributer to the flavour meltdowns were avoided. In any case I am 100% an onion truther now. Onions are great. I would rate them with a firm handshake.

Olives. Olives are evil. End of story. I'm not deigning them with a funny rating 0 stars. Die.

Oyster mushrooms. I don't mind your regular button mushrooms or a portobello. When I tried oyster mushrooms though I did not feel good. Only tried them once though so more science has to be conducted. Rating tbd.
